Easy Repair - Garbage Disposal

Kitchen garbage disposal not working? Before you call the repairman try this quick fix;

Most people do not realize that almost all garbage disposal units come with a reset button. First look for the reset button it should be either red or black and located under the sink on the bottom of the unit.

Need to sharpen the blades? If your garbage disposal unit is not working as well as it once was, the blades may need sharpening.  The easiest way to do that is with simple ice cubes.

Simply turn off the unit, pile in as many ice cubes as you can and turn on, the blades will sharpen as they work through the ice.  Add some quartered Lemons or Limes to the ice cubes and you will also freshen you garbage disposal at the same time.
